Evangelistic Story

Twenty four Baptised in New Caledonia Two years ago Delphine Harris and Raymond Richmond called on Stella and her husband. They invited Delphine and Raymond to attend their church on Sunday and put on a book display. The contact with Stella and her husband, Emmanuel, was maintained, and when a mission program was scheduled were invited to attend. Eventually Stella and Emmanuel plus their two children were baptised, and when Delphine attended the church in Noumea she was surprised to find this family in church. Naturally, there is a close bond between Delphine and the family as they recognise that it was the Delphine who first introduced them to our books and the church.

Not only did Stella and Emmanuel join the church, but 20 of their friends from the Pentecostal church have also been baptised. At present they are working with a number of others.

Stella and Emmanuel invited their friends to a Friday night worship at their home, where they can seat 50 people in a specially made building on the side of their house. On the Sabbath I preached in one of the local churches, Stella shared her story of conversion, and at the end of the service made a commitment to become a literature evangelist. - Terry Goltz, Publishing Ministries Director
